Back in the late 1960’s, WTI’s founder Wolf Ludwig was a 23-year-old German immigrant, new to the United States. He went to work at some of the industry’s most prominent processors and suppliers, making sausages and becoming a sales manager along the way.
Ludwig’s experiences taught him an invaluable lesson: quality, integrity, technology and above all, customer service were the essential ingredients for a successful business. He decided to create a company dedicated to this high standard. These core values are ever-present today, as well as those of a willing attitude, team work and relentless improvement.

In 2014, WTI opened a subsidiary in Germany, WTI International GmbH, to service Europe, Asia and Middle East. Our team of food ingredient specialists support direct customers and distributors with their ingredient needs, including new applications, reformulations of existing products, and new product development. We also provide logistic and warehousing capabilities across these regions.
