Melissa joined WTI in June of 2006. Melissa was raised in a small family meat business learning the principles of sausage and cured meat production at a young age. She began attending state and national meat conventions with her parents at the age of nine.
She graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor’s degree
in food science. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, she worked at the University Meat Lab. After graduation, she joined a medium-sized ham and sausage plant as coordinator of quality assurance and evolved into the role of research and development manager.
Melissa resides in St. Louis, Missouri and is continuing her education by persuing a Master of Business Administration at Webster University. |
