We are specialists in food ingredient solutions. WTI entered the ingredient market in 1989, with our first product, Myosol®, a liquid phosphate. Since that time, we have worked hand in hand with our customers to improve the eating quality of their products; solve their challenges; and, meet the everchanging market demands.
With us as your trusted partner, you’ll have better tasting and appearing products with cleaner labels and longer shelf-life. Our products enhance the taste, texture, color, appearance, as well as the safety, of your food.
WTI produces dry and liquid naturally-derived, clean label and conventional ingredients for a variety of food product applications. Organic and low sodium version are also available to meet your specific formulation need.
Our team of food scientists and culinary experts partner with customers to develop unique solutions. Because we are strategically integrated by offering new product development, manufacturing and testing capabilities together in one location, we are able to be more flexible and attentive to your needs, and can ensure greater levels of quality control.
Impeccable Customer Service
We put our customers first in everything that we do. There is more to industry success than selling. WTI is as dedicated to its customers today as it was when we opened for business. You will not be just an order number. You can count on us for the support you need to succeed.
Lead, Never Follow
WTI has a proven track record as a leader in the industry, consistently developing unique solutions to the most pressing challenges facing our customers. When the industry sought clean label, naturally-derived products, we were the first to provide them. In response to industry demand for vinegar products, WTI once again led the way.
The Importance of Science and Research
Our food scientists and culinary experts are leaders in their field. They bring years of rigorous training and expertise with the ability to develop and validate new ideas and methodologies. Our goal is to continually exceed our customer’s expectations. With the best on our team, we do.
We stand by our values.
Back in the late 1960’s, WTI’s founder Wolf Ludwig was a 23-year-old German immigrant, new to the United States. He went to work at some of the industry’s most prominent processors and suppliers, making sausages and becoming a sales manager along the way.
Ludwig’s experiences taught him an invaluable lesson: quality, integrity, technology and above all, customer service were the essential ingredients for a successful business. He decided to create a company dedicated to this high standard. These core values are ever-present today, as well as those of a willing attitude, team work and relentless improvement.
Our reach is global.
In 2014, WTI opened a subsidiary in Germany, WTI International GmbH, to service Europe, Asia and Middle East. Our team of food ingredient specialists support direct customers and distributors with their ingredient needs, including new applications, reformulations of existing products, and new product development. We also provide logistic and warehousing capabilities across these regions.
Our partners share our vision.
